Cloud computing

Overview

Cloud servers are fast replacing the physical hardware servers in most of the companies. While both has its own advantages, it is always good to develop a solution based on specific requirement where cloud or physical servers are beneficial.

Cloud computing is a generic term used for various services as individual or bundled computing components that are made available virtually for users, such as database, computing, networking, storage and more.

Some of the advantages of cloud computing may include

    • Cost savings
    • Flexibility to Increase or reduce the server size
    • Flexibility and control
    • Quick availability and easy integration of various services

We would like to mention one of our recent achievement as a case-study where cloud computing having a SaaS based application helped our client to overcome their challenges.

Challenge

One of our client approached us with their need for optimizing the overall management of conducting Professional Exam with over 100K students across, exam in multi-language, multi-location, within short period of time from enrollment to result publishing, evaluation by professors and experts in multi-location, storage of physical answer booklets and secrecy of question paper.

Solution

Reusing some of our pre-build framework and components, we were able to deliver our solution – Exam Management System, hosted on AWS server with appropriate roles/rights/access control, enrollment panel with online payment gateway integration, roll-number generation, exam-timetable, question bank, system generated question paper, registration of exam-centers and student allocation, student attendance via mobile app, digitization of answer booklet stored on cloud directly from center or nearby hub, online evaluation, auto-result publishing on declared period and necessary reports.
