We are one of the leading Consultants, system integrator for Biomedical waste Management services.
We set-up plant for biomedical waste treatment as per latest BMW rules on turn-key basis and also suppliers for all related equipment and consumables.
In addition to provide consultancy services and plant set-up we are also into following area:-Any solid and or liquid including its container and any intermediate product, which is generated during diagnosis, treatment or immunization of human beings or animals which poses hazard due to two principal reasons – the first is infectivity and other toxicity.
Bio Medical waste includes all the waste generated from the Health Care Facility which can have any adverse effect to the health of a person or to the environment in general if not disposed properly.
This waste consists of the materials which have been in contact with the patient’s blood, secretions, infected parts, biological liquids such as chemicals, medical supplies, medicines, lab discharge, sharps metallic and glassware, plastics etc.
Developed countries have, overtime developed infrastructure for medical waste disposal. As population movement increases worldwide, and with a globally supported food chain, the spread of disease between nations has never been taken so seriously. More recently prevalent in the pandemic outbreak of Ebola. Since which the term Bio Security has been taken a lot more seriously.
“Every year an estimated 16 billion injections are administered, and needle waste generated”

Medical waste disposal represents one of the single most serious challenges for developing countries. Most of which is dumped on open land, presenting challenges for today’s generation and future generation to come.
Reuse of needles and unsafe injections are responsible for as many as 33 800 new HIV infections, 1.7 million hepatitis B infections and 315 000 hepatitis C infections
Medical waste scavengers expose themselves to extreme risks to potential illness, disease and death, whilst acting as a vessel to pass on potential illness and disease to local population they interact with.

Open burning of medical waste generates heavy particulate matter (smoke), and harmful dioxins and furans a main cause for respiratory illnesses and cancer. As such open burning can affects a large areas of the local populations

The Occupier will segregate the bio-medical waste in colored bags or containers as per the above table or in the manner specified in BMW Rules, 2016. After keeping the waste as per the specified bags or container, occupier will pretreat and store as per the BMW rules 2016 guideline.
Barcode Scanning and online database to track bio medical waste from medical centers going to treatment centers. Each bag sent to CBMWTF must have bar code stickers containing details like numbers, Kgs, locations, type of waste date and time of collection.
Occupier will ensure that all the bins, containers, bags to be sent at treatment facility must be labeled with the symbol of Bio Hazard Cytotoxic Hazard as the case may be.
Bio Medical Waste bags and containers are required to be provided with bar code labels which will contain the details like type of waste, weight of the the bag or container, time and date of weighing etc.
Occupier will hand over all four type of biomedical waste after providing barcode stickers on each bag and container and its record will be maintained.
The biomedical waste collected in designated coloured bags and containers shall be transported to the CBMWTF in a fully covered vehicle owned by CBMWTF.
Treatment of bio-medical waste is done by incineration, autoclaving and shredding. For all equipment selection should be such that it must comply by the BMW rules and also it should demonstrate high standards of efficiency and durability.
There are mainly three equipment to treat bio-medical waste.
Incineration is usually used for pathological waste and pharmaceutical waste. Incinerator operates at 8000 C ± 500 C in primary chamber and 10500 C ± 500 C in secondary chamber to efficiently treat and dispose of the Bio-Medical waste. It is quick and easy disposal method. The incinerator is attached with a chimney of 30 meters height above the ground level as per laid down norms. The incinerator is fitted with quencher and venture scrubber with droplet separator to control air pollution. The yellow color bags are treated in the incinerator. This is ideal method used to treat Human Anatomical Waste, Animal Waste, Human and animal cell culture and Discarded Medicines, Solids Waste and Cytotoxic drugs etc.
Autoclaving is usually used for sharps waste and infectious waste. In this method, wastes are sterilized or disinfected prior to disposal in a landfill. An autoclave is in essence a large pressure cooker that uses high temperatures and steam to deeply penetrate all materials and kill any microorganisms. This method is used for disposal of Microbiology & Biotechnology Waste, Waste sharps and solid waste etc.
The autoclave should be dedicated for the purposes of disinfecting and treating bio-medical waste.
After the waste is autoclaved it is fed to the shredder. Shredding is used to destroy plastic and paper waste to prevent their reuse. To avoid such infections, the autoclaved medical waste categories are shredded to pieces before being disposed or recycled. Only waste that is disinfected should be used in a shredder.
The function of a shredder is to mutilate the already disinfected waste. This method is used to disposal of Syringe, Saline Bottles, IV Tubes and Catheters etc.
